The latest chapter in the history of the Jews in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is full of dramatic and tragic events, records their active role in the progressive workers movement, their bitter suffering at the hands of the German occupiers and local quislings and their considerable contribution to the legendary and glorious liberation struggle of the Yugoslav peoples in the Second World War.
